A Note From Our Founder

When I started MOAR on October 28, 2024, I had a vision—to help speed up the adoptions of homeless animals and provide food, medical care, and comfort to the animals impounded at the Milford Animal Control facility in Silver Sands.

We want to work collaboratively with the City of Milford and Milford Animal Control to give these animals the quality of life they deserve. Our volunteer-run team is funded by private donations, public fundraising, events, and grants.

Through fundraising efforts and public support, we aim to help Milford Animal Control with:

Socialization
Training
Daily exercise & enrichment
A state-of-the-art facility with on-site groomers and dog trainers
Improved facilities and amenities for dogs and cats on-site

This is my dream for MOAR, but I can’t do it alone. We need an army of dedicated volunteers to work together and make this happen.

MOAR Is Marching — Save the Date!

Hey MOAR fam,

We’re officially marching in the Saturday, March 14 parade — and we want YOU with us! Parade kicks off at 1:00 PM, but we need all our fabulous humans to arrive by 12:00 noon so we can assemble, decorate, and pretend we know what we’re doing.

We’ve got a big black Ford pickup truck and a dream: to cover it in every shade of green imaginable. Think St. Patrick’s Day meets animal rescue meets “we found the glitter bin and we’re not afraid to use it.”

We need two brave souls to hold our brand-new banner. Requirements:
Can walk in a straight-ish line
Can smile at strangers
Won’t blow away in a light breeze
If that’s you, welcome aboard!

Dress code: GREEN.
Shirts, hats, scarves, tutus, wigs, boas — if it screams “I’m festive and possibly unsupervised,” you’re doing it right.

We’ll be handing out green beads and candy along the route. The kids will love us. The dentists… not so much.

We’d truly love to have you with us. The more the merrier — and the greener.
